Nissan Thailand Manufacturing welcomes Ambassador of Japan
Showcasing Nissan’s world class production facilities
BANGKOK, THAILAND (20 May 2024) – Nissan Thailand recently received the visit of His Excellency Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand and his delegations to Nissan Thailand’s production facilities at Samutprakarn province.

On this visit, His Excellency Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand was accompanied by Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan Thailand and Nissan ASEAN, and Nissan management team.
His Excellency Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand paid a visit to production facilities where Nissan Thailand produces and exports the popular sedan and electrified models like Thailand’s longtime favorite, Nissan Almera and award-winning electrified model, Nissan Kicks e-POWER. His Excellency also visited assembly line of Nissan's e-POWER battery at Nissan Powertrain Thailand, which is the first e-POWER battery assembly line outside of Japan and one of 4 Nissan plants worldwide.
His Excellency also visited Nissan Electrification Experience Center (NEEC) where energy conversion between electric vehicles and electric systems is demonstrated. The Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) allows owners of 100% electric Nissan LEAF vehicles to utilize bi-directional charging technology. Bi-directional charging demonstrates the potential of an electric vehicle beyond mobility.
Accompanied by Nissan executives, His Excellency also had the opportunity to test drive several of Nissan’s latest vehicles, including the Almera, Kicks e-POWER, and Navara. The experience highlighted Nissan’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainable mobility.
